The first Coptic family to arrive in Milwaukee, WI was in 1968. On December 22nd, 1988, after twenty-two years of yearning for a church building of their own, the Copts of Wisconsin bought their church in Waterford, WI. H.H. the late Pope Shenouda III agreed to give the congregation a permanent priest. Fr. Rewis Awadalla came from Tanta, Egypt to serve the congregation in January of 1993. As the congregation grew they needed a new church. A lot was purchased in 2000 and H.H. the late Pope Shenouda III broke ground and building began. The first liturgy in the church was prayed by H.G. Bishop Paula of Tanta on August 5th, 2006 and it was consecrated by H.H. the late Pope Shenouda III on February 5th, 2008. In December 2013, ground was broken to build a service and recreational building to support the youth. It was completed in 2015.
